Andromeda Arrives Stateside to Introduce Internet
Following the opening of its first US office in Dallas, Texas, Andromeda Pos Inc has unveiled a new version of its multi-Award winning delivery Point of Sale (POS) software for the US market. Rameses 3.1, which represents the next evolution in delivery software, will be officially launched at the world’s biggest pizza show, Pizza Expo, at Las Vegas, Nevada in March (14-16th).
Rameses Delivery POS is packed full of high end and unique features. These include The Rapid Transaction Gateway (RTG) – integrated credit card processing in as little as 1.5 seconds - integrated web ordering in conjunction with Ordertalk, text notification, integrated online drivers map and advanced head office reporting.
2005 was a landmark year for Andromeda, again picking up industry awards for Rameses and opening an office in Dallas in November. Andromeda’s system was also chosen by Papa John’s in the UK and Europe, with Rameses installed into all of the company’s UK and Ireland outlets within just three months.
Commenting, Ben Portsmouth, Chief Executive Officer of Andromeda POS Inc, said: “The US market is a massive opportunity for us to demonstrate why companies like Papa John’s are choosing Rameses as their system of choice in Europe. Having stated our ambitions by opening our first regional office in Dallas, we are now really looking forward to exhibiting and meeting new contacts at The Pizza Expo in Las Vegas. As the market leader in the UK delivery POS segment, we believe we have some excellent features to bring to the US market.”
Prior to founding Andromeda in 1999, Ben Portsmouth, and the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Ben Cole, spent several years as operators themselves. Ben Portsmouth worked for Pizza Hut as an outlet manager and thereafter spent time at the company’s head office where he focused on special projects.
The company believes that it has identified a commercial gap in the US market which Andromeda can fulfil. “We are surprised at how few US pizza companies are making effective use of Internet Ordering,” said Ben Cole. “With integrated online ordering our customers experience up to 15% of their orders coming via the internet, with higher customer spending and lower operational costs. The whole process is much faster and more efficient than old fashioned method of faxing orders.”
Andromeda has developed a reputation for tailoring software solutions to clients’ specific requirements and providing superior levels of ongoing support.
Andromeda sells direct to customers and is also looking to recruit regional resellers.
